MEET THE TRAINERS

Nikki Moore is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and the co-owner of Mod Dog Training. Nikki’s passion is helping people and dogs learn to work together as a team so that they can start to communicate effectively and stay engaged despite distractions. Her goal is to help them find balance, understand one another, and start enjoying all life has to offer.

Nikki started working professionally with animals in 2004 in an emergency veterinary hospital. Since 2004, she’s worked in veterinary, kennels, and rescue but found that she loved behavior and training most because it has such a profound effect on the quality of life for people and dogs.

Caitlyn Mattern, ABCDT is the co-owner of Mod Dog Training. Caitlyn is a military spouse who grew up in Southern California, but loves living on the Central Coast. She is an animal rights advocate and firm believer in the power of positivity as it relates to her work, personal life, and beyond. She is a graduate of California Baptist University and Animal Behavior College.

 

Continuing education is incredibly important to Caitlyn and she is currently working toward her CPDT-KA certification. Caitlyn has experience working with dogs of all breeds and sizes and does not believe a dog is ever too old to train. She currently lives in Seaside with her husband and daughter. They have two Boxers, Gunnar and Scout, and a cat, Roger Purrling.

Megan Lewis, VSA Certified Dog Trainer is a Staff Trainer at Mod Dog Training. Megan’s commitment to the well being of all dogs and their human families is what drives her to be a dog trainer. She has been working with dogs professionally since 2018. Megan is a graduate of The Evergreen State College and Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training and Behavior.

 

Megan focuses on building the bond between you and your dog, so you can have a lasting and trusting relationship. She believes every dog, regardless of breed, size or age deserves to be trained in a safe and humane way. Megan lives in Pacific Grove with her dog Marnie.
